Croatia riviera Omiš - Ruskamen

Ruskamen streches from the Adriatic highway to the sea. In the past it developped as a summer resort of the Dešković family whose villa was built in the style of fortified citadel.
Ruskamen has lovely pebble and some rocky beaches which strech one after another. The beaches are mostly pebbly, only the back part is of bigger stones. This makes them expecially suitable for families with small children, as the entry to the sea is gradual and there are no sea urchins or any other spiky 'creatures'. It is possible to rent boats and sea bikes here. Pine trees strech all along the seaside. Ruskamen is a quiet place, all tourist centres (Split, Omiš, Makarska) are easily approachable. Ruskamen is also famous for being a naturist location of one of the oldest nude beaches on the Adriatic. There are some lovely small campsites here. In Ruskamen you can play tennis and volleyball, go diving, bowling and walking and enjoy lovely restaurants, markets, souvenir shops, swimming pool and diving centre. You can also rent a boat, jet-ski or wind surfing. The diving club organizes vistits to the location o Mala Luce amphora, which dates to 100 years BC. And of course Vruja -  a must see location number 1 for many divers from Europe.
